Nationwide House Energy Rating Scheme (NatHERS)and Building Sustainability Index (BASIX) Assessments

For residential properties, energy modelling is undertaken using AccuRate (Building Thermal Performance Modelling) which provides an energy star rating for residential properties to comply with the simulation method of the thermal comfort section of BASIX. Additional information can be obtained from NatHERS website at www.nathers.gov.au .

We also offer BASIX Certificates required by Local Government for residential developments in NSW. A BASIX Certificate is required for all new residential work, and additions or alterations over $50,000.

BASIX was introduced on 1st July 2004 by the NSW Government. BASIX outlines compulsory design standards for the whole of NSW with the express purpose of reducing the use of potable water and greenhouse gas emissions.
