Dr John K LeeComplex Systems Solutions
John Lee is an award-winning Engineer and Project Manager of Complex systems formulation, design, and implementation. John’s peak skills have been developed from decades of hands-on professional activity in diverse workplace scenarios, combined with comprehensive academic and professional qualifications encompassing the fields of Engineering, Business, Marketing, Science, Ethics, Environment, Education and Project Management, including a Doctor of Philosophy in Education. An aspect of John’s peak skills is that his experience and qualifications has equipped him with the ability to analyse and solve unprecedented problems from first principles, providing multi-faceted solutions across several fields of endeavour including that of Engineering, the Environment and Social Research. John currently operates in Far North Queensland and in Brisbane. ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTThe majority of John’s professional career has been involved with projects which are either directly or indirectly associated with an improved efficiency of use of earth’s material resources. Telecommunications and mobile phone implementations have directly resulted in reduced fossil fuel consumption. Solar panel electricity generation and passive cooling of equipment shelters was utilised by John in the 1980’s for provision of remote communications to the Jackson Oil Fields. Solar arrays continue to be utilised for contemporary projects. Radio and Telecommunications projects in Vanuatu in the Pacific are significant contributors to reduction in consumption of expensive fossil fuel.
John’s Doctoral research identified Wins in the Environmental action against Acid Rain, Hole in the Ozone Layer, and Crown of Thorns starfish. Additionally, John’s research has identified seven narratives which potentially lead to convergence in the environmental debate, by which disparate parties may reconcile differences in their view-points so that effective joint action may be achieved. As a Complex Systems advisor within Footprint Energy, John has achieved on-the- ground familiarisation with the subtleties and drivers of major renewable energy projects within Queensland, from Ravenshoe in Far North Queensland, Collinsville, Eungella, Pioneer-Burdekin, Central Queensland, Gladstone, and Borumba in South-East Queensland. |
