What is ISO 20400?

The 'ISO 20400 Sustainable Procurement guidance' international standard focuses on a broader scope of sustainability, which includes social and cultural sustainability, supply chain viability and impact, and importantly, an emphasis on the people who are producing the products we buy.

"ISO 20400:2017 provides guidance to organizations, independent of their activity or size, on integrating sustainability within procurement, as described in ISO 26000. It is intended for stakeholders involved in, or impacted by, procurement decisions and processes" - ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation).
