Training Courses

Our integrated Education & Training Program supports our clients to achieve their training and education goals.  We work with you to identify training and awareness gaps in order to respond to current and future environmental and social challenges.

Footprint Energy offers a broad range of general and specialised non-accredited courses in environmental, sustainability ​and social topics related to industry, organisations and the general community.

Industry Training Courses - General

Renewable & Non-renewable Energy
Renewable Energy Essentials (Duration: 4-5 hours)
This short course helps you to understand:
  • the foundation aspects of electricity and their relevance for Australian society and for your organisaton, including the 7 renewable modalities of electricity and 4 items of non-renewables modalities, and electricity transmission links.
​
​This course introduces our concise session assisting in the appreciation of both renewables and non-renewables for organisations and the community in every day life.​
​Students who successfully complete the training receive a Certificate of Participation which certifies that the participant has attended and been involved in active tasks and engagement.

Environmental &
​Biodiversity

Overview of Environmental & Biodiversity Issues (Duration: 2-3 hours)
This short course helps you to understand:
  • what are the current environmental & biodiversity issues
  • why is protection of the environment and biodiversity important
  • what do you need to know when identifying issues associated with a project activity​
  • ​what am I legally required to consider when starting a project or activity - broad overview of current environmental laws and mandatory requirements​
​
​This course provides an opportunity to use one of your projects (past, current or future) to work though with us to identify the environmental issues and discuss approach, solutions, opportunities and legal framework. 
​Students who successfully complete the training receive a Certificate of Participation which certifies that the participant has attended and been involved in active tasks and engagement.

Business Sustainability

Overview of Business Sustainability Issues (Duration: 2-3 hours)
This short course helps you to understand: 
  • what are the key sustainability issues facing businesses, organisations and the community - waste, water, energy, reuse/circular economy, cost benefit analysis
  • what you need to know when identifying issues associated with a project activity​
  • ​what you are legally required to consider when starting and continuing with a project or activity
​Students who successfully complete the training receive a Certificate of Participation which certifies that the participant has attended and been involved in active tasks and engagement.

Ongoing Support

Our Training Program also provides a service to provide ongoing support by our Trainers and Environmental & Sustainability Advisors, to ask questions of about relevant issues relating to your projects or activities. 

Our team consists of educators and sustainability facilitators with experience in running successful programs to raise awareness in schools, businesses and organisations and in industry across Australia and internationally, in the topics of environmental (conservation and biodiversity), business sustainability, behavioural change, and holistic integration (health/environment).
